Institute for Human and Social Sciences
The Institute for Human and Social Sciences considers itself to be the human and
social sciences research and instruction facility of the Austrian Armed Forces. Its
core competences comprise: the principles and the factors of the fields of tension
of the state and society, the citizen and the soldier as well as the military and
operations, as far as they have an effect on the armed forces in general and on the
Austrian Armed Forces in particular. As required, the Institute members also give
advice in these disciplines.
